Don't Sleep After Eating

Don't go straight to sleep after eating. Sleeping after meals is not advisable in order to maintain bodies’ vitality and fitness. Food takes time to digest, whatever we eat must first be digested in the body. When we sleep immediately after eating, in lying down position, this actually slows the digestive process.

It is important to have good posture while sleeping so that the digestive organs can work optimally. When we in a lying down state, our own bodies will give difficulties to digestive process and this would indeed have a negative effect on the body as difficult to defecate, and the body becomes weak and not fresh.

The results of a study showed that the body should rest for at least an hour after dinner before bedtime because it can reduce the risk of stroke by approximately two thirds.

Sleeping after meals can indeed increase the risk of disease or a stroke to individual. This is because our digestive system works hard to digest when sleeping and that directly affect the increase in blood sugar levels and cholesterol that can be the cause of stroke. In conclusion, rest your stomach after eating and do not go straight to lie down or sleep.
