Take a Short Nap In Afternoon


Nap or rests around 1.30 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. for 15 minutes to 30 minutes during daytime is highly recommended but don’t nap too long. A new study explains that napping during daytime can reduce the risk of heart disease which can be harmful even deadly.

Data show that the benefits of napping more felt by men than women. The study considered the most phenomenal about the problems of this napping, focus on the health aspects gained by a nap.

The study involved 23,681 adult populations in Greece and take six years as reported by the Associated Press (AP). This study explains that those who spent less than half an hour for a nap in the office, three times a week, and the risk of death caused by the emergence of symptoms of heart disease was reduced an average of 37 %, compared with those who did not nap at the office.

Scientific studies have discovered a new theory that napping during daytime has an important influence in improving the productivity and reducing the death rate. The researchers found napping during daytime is very beneficial for the heart, because it can reduce stress and excessive heart rate.

In other study stated that women also feel the great benefits of napping during daytime. The study mentions that more men who had died from stress of dealing with work compare to women, as described Dr. Dimitrios Trichopoulos, a person in charge of the study and research at the Harvard School of Public Health and the University of Athens Medical School.

This study confirms that during the period of the study women volunteers involved in the study who had died is 48 people, six of which are career women, compared with the number of men who died which are 85 persons, 27 of them are working men.
